Somatic listening
Using Focusing — a body-based method developed by philosopher and psychologist Eugene Gendlin — you learn to listen inward. Your body is not the problem. It is the guide. It holds wisdom your mind can't reach alone. We access it together.

Breathwork
Conscious breathwork goes beneath the surface of language and thought. It regulates your nervous system, releases stored tension, and creates space for what has been held tight to finally soften.

Lasting change
This isn't crisis management. Each session builds on the last. You develop a deeper relationship with yourself — one where clarity, self-trust, and forward movement become your natural state.

ABOUT ESSA
A psychologist who works
with the whole of you.
I'm Essa — a psychologist, Focusing facilitator and breathwork guide based in Amsterdam. I work in English and Dutch, in person and online.
My approach is rooted in deep respect for your own inner knowing. I don't tell you what to feel or how to heal. I create a safe, warm space where what has been hidden can finally be seen — and where your body can show you the way.
I work with people who are highly intuitive but have lost touch with themselves — often after a burnout, a loss, a breakup, or simply years of putting themselves last. My sessions are for people who are ready to step beyond traditional therapy models and into a co-created, embodied practice of healing and growth.
